“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”

When you look around, you may start to see that every circumstance you are facing is like a Goliath. When you begin to notice that there is still a long road ahead and you start to feel discouraged, that is when God steps in. He looks at you and offers to take your hand, saying: «I am with you, and I have everything under control. I need you to trust me and have faith.»

He promised to make everything—every circumstance and situation—work for good. This demonstrates His sovereignty and ability to manage every aspect of our lives. All things—whether good or bad—work together for good for those who love God. Though we must face suffering (Romans 8:18), God is with us, and whatever we are facing right now, He will turn the tables for our good and His glory. Nothing is impossible for Him. He works all things together for good, not in isolation. This promise is for those who love God, and He orchestrates the affairs of our lives because we are called according to His purpose.

Don’t be dismayed; God promised that He will never leave you alone. He wants you to ask, seek, and knock—He is in control. Remember that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow as you persevere (James 1:2-3). Cry out to God, for He sees you and hears you.
