“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

When sin covers you and the devil starts pointing a finger at you, blaming you for what you did, telling you that you have failed God again, that you are not worthy of God’s grace and love, that your life is over. When this happens, God comes in to remind you the opposite: that the devil lies and that he has come to remind you who you are before his eyes, before God’s eyes; you are loved by him; that you are forgiven through Christ Jesus; that yoy have a purpose, and that He wants you to return to him to start again.

Nobody on this planet deserves God’s grace, but because He loved the world first. Christ died for you on the cross. God gives grace because He loved first. Starting again, getting up from that dark place and walking away into the light of Christ requires you to listen and obey God’s voice; come before him with a repentant and humble heart, ask for forgiveness, don’t walk in sin anymore, and do again what a Christian needs to do, which is follow the example of Jesus Christ each day.
